NEWBERRY, SC - The women's lacrosse team faced the Newberry College Wolves on Sunday afternoon. The Wolves defeated the Lions, 25-9, moving Emmanuel's record to 2-2 on the young season.
The Lions were sufficient on offense, but struggled to slow Newberry's attack. Emmanuel led 2-1 six minutes into the game, thanks to goals by Justine Dorelas and Anna Gill. However, six in a row for the Wolves built them a lead that the Lions were unable to overcome.
Justine Dorelas and Anna Gill led the way on offense, scoring three times each for the Lions.
Next up, women's lacrosse will host Shorter University on Thursday, March 10 at 12:00pm.
