ROME, GA - The men's lacrosse team hit the road on Wednesday to face Shorter University. The Lions defeated the Hawks, 15-8, moving Emmanuel's record to 1-3 on the season. 

Travis Brave Heart kicked the scoring off for the Lions, finding the goal just 57 seconds into the first quarter. Luke Hildebrant added a pair of goals before John Allen made the score 4-0 in favor of Emmanuel. The Hawks scored once before the end of the quarter, but the Lions led by 3 points after 15 minutes, 4-1. The Lions continued to control the game, increasing their lead to four points by halftime, 7-3. 

The trend continued in the second half as the Hawks couldn't keep pace with Emmanuel's offense. The Hawks managed to pull within three with 7 and a half minutes remaining in the game, but the Lions closed on a four goal scoring streak that gave them a seven point victory, 15-8. 

Shamaz Durant, Allan Velasquez, and Luke Hildebrant all finished the night with three goals each, leading the way for the Lions. 

Next up, men's lacrosse will face Mars Hill University this Saturday, February 26 at 2:00pm.
