Franklin Springs, GA - The Emmanuel College Men's Tennis Team hosted the visiting Rider University in a non-conference contest.

EC started the match firing all cylinders in doubles play, grabbing a quick 6-1 win on court #2 with Thembo Makhanya / Javier Crespo dominating their opponents from start to finish. The first overall point came on Court #3 with Juan Camilo Burgos / Kornel Kimaszewski taking the last minute win in a tie-breaker.

In Singles play, Emmanuel had total control of the matches grabbing 5 wins before the match was suspended due to rain. First, Nathan Benoit dropped only two games in route of the 6-0 6-2 win. Not too long after, Joan Grosset quickly dispatched his opponent, utilizing a lot of his forehands from the baseline for a 6-2 6-0 victory. Hassan Badran used his aggressive game today and held his serve comfortably to give Emmanuel the overall clinch, by 6-2 6-4. Javier Crespo Stretched the win for the Lions with an extremely solid performance from the line with a convincing 6-2 6-3 win. Lastly, with the match already decided, Kornel Kimaszewski closed out the day without any hiccups with an 8-3 win for the sixth point.
