TRAVELERS REST, SC - The men's lacrosse team (2-9, 0-3 CC) faced North Greenville on Wednesday night. The Lions fell to the Crusaders, 6-19.
The Crusaders scored the first two goals of the night and never looked back. Shamaz Durant contributed the only goal for the Lions in the first quarter as the Crusaders built a 4-1 advantage. The Lions scored twice more in the second quarter, but struggled to slow down the Crusaders, who led 8-3 at the break. The Crusaders outscored the Lions 8-1 in the third quarter as they continued to control the pace on both offense and defense. Durant scored twice more in the fourth quarter, including the last goal of the game with 53 seconds remaining. This resulted in a final deficit of 6-19 for the Lions.
Next up, men's lacrosse will host Shorter University on Wednesday, April 6 at 4:00pm.
