Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel College Men's Tennis Team hosted the visiting Barton College in a league play. 
 
The Lions started strong in doubles across the board, but the point came from a pair of wins at #2 Thembo Makhanya / Javier Crespo leading the way with a 6-3 win, followed by #1 Joan Grosset / Nathan Benoit by 6-4.
 
In singles, The Lions were able to capture the needed 3 additional points today. First, on court #3 with Javier Crespo who controlled the tempo of the match from start to finish to put EC with a two-point lead with a solid win by 6-3 6-4. The senior Thembo Makhanya proved to be unstoppable with a straight sets win today by 6-2 6-2. The clinching match happened on court #4 with Hassan Badran attacking a lot from the back of the court for a 6-4 6-4 victory.
