Lions Fall to Crusaders on the Road

TRAVELERS REST, SC - The Emmanuel Women's Lacrosse team fought through their 2022 season this Saturday against the North Greenville Crusaders. While the ladies fought hard, they fell to the Crusaders with a score of 20-7. This moves Emmanuel's record to 7-5 (3-3 CC).

First Period-

The Crusaders started off the game strong, scoring 3 goals within the first 5 minutes. Bailie Garland tried to fight back for the Lions, scoring one goal, but the Crusaders scored right back, ending the period with a score of 4-1. 

Second Period-

4 more goals were scored by the Crusaders within the first half of the period. Justine Dorelas made a move for the Lions, scoring her 53rd goal for the 2022 season. The Lions were no match for the Crusaders though, as the Crusaders scored twice more before the period was over. 

Third Period-

Justine Dorelas came in hot for this period, scoring another goal for the Lions. The Crusaders scored back, but they were no match for Justine, as she scored back to back goals for the Lions. The Crusaders scored again, only for Ashley Mecker to score for the Lions. The Crusaders didn't back down, scoring 3 more goals. Mickaela Davis scores the final goal for the Lions in this period, only for the Crusaders to score again. 

Fourth Period-

The final period of this game was finished out by the Crusaders, as they scored 4 more goals to close out the game. Final score: 20-7.

The Women's Lacrosse team will continue their 2022 season at Erskine on Wednesday, April 13th at 3pm against the Erskine College Fleet.
