Banner Elk, NC – The Emmanuel College Men's Tennis Team traveled to Lees McRae College for another conference commitment this Saturday. 
 
The Lions worked hard to grab the doubles point but the Bobcats were decided to block the way for the Lions today: on court #1 Joan Grosset / Nathan Benoit saved a match point to win the match in a tense tiebreaker, 7-6, on court #2 Thembo Makhanya / Javier Crespo stretched their winning streak in a solid performance by 6-4, and lastly, on court #3 Kornel Kimaszewski / Juan Camilo Burgos finished the sweep for the visitors by 6-4.
 
With a 1-0 lead, EC earned had to grab 3 more points today. First, on court #1, the senior Thembo Makhanya, presented a solid performance from the baseline to win today by 6-2 6-2. Kornel Kimaszewski went the distance to put EC a point away from the overall win with a 3-set win by 6-4 6-7 6-3. The clinching point came from Joan Grosset on court #6, who trailed a set down to seal the deal by 2-6 6-3 6-2.
