FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The women's lacrosse team hosted the University of Mount Olive on Monday afternoon. The Trojans defeated the Lions, 29-9. This moves Emmanuel's record to 8-6 overall and 4-4 in league play. 

Bailie Garland scored the first goal of the game, putting the Lions on top only 28 seconds into the match. However, the Trojans answered 30 seconds later, quickly tying the score. UMO then scored four in a row, but the Lions answered with three of their own to tie the score at four. But UMO soon turned on the heat, closing the first half on a 15-3 run that gave them a sizable lead by the break. The Trojans kept their foot down in the third, shutting out the Lions in the quarter and building an even larger lead. Justine Dorelas scored twice for Emmanuel in the fourth quarter, but UMO Soon captured the victory, 29-9. 

Justine Dorelas led the way on offense for the Lions with four goals, while Mickaela Davis had three. 

Next up, women's lacrosse will close out their 2022 regular season as they host Converse on Saturday, April 23rd at 1:00pm.
