Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel College Women's Tennis Team wrapped up regular season today in a home contest against the Converse University Valkyries.
 
Emmanuel proved to be too strong in doubles matches today with a very solid performance today with all three doubles winning their matches. On court #3 with Lauren Castillon / Zyanya Rogel zero issues in a flawless performance with a 6-0 win. On court #1, Alejandra Guerrero / Darja Chistov found their best tennis in a 6-1 victory. Lastly, on court #2 the freshman duo formed by Shatavisa Ghosh / Soleny Gonzalez used the net as often as possible in a 6-1 win.
 
In singles, Emmanuel grabbed 5 extra points: Selina Donecker gave Emmanuel the first one in a straight sets win by 6-3 6-2 on court #4. On Court #1, the sophomore, Alejandra Guerrero had to be patient in longer rallies in the first set before cruising in the second, 6-4 6-1. Shatavisa Ghosh saved 3 set points in the first set but gave EC another point with a win by 7-6 (8) 6-3. Ingrid Martinez went the distance in a 3-set thriller by 1-6 7-5 6-0 on court #6. Lastly Zyan Rogel, had no issues today on court #5 to finish the deal in favor of the Lions by 8-0.
