Box Score Bristol, TN – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer traveled to King University today for a conference match. It was a defensive battle from the start, until the Lions dominated in the second half winning 4-0. With the win, the Lions record moves to 6-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference.
Both teams showed an impressive defense in the first half, heading into the second half 0-0.
Emmanuel got things started offensively with a goal by junior
Tomas Pollacchi, assisted by junior
Alberto Hernandez Meca in the 61
st minute, 1-0. In the 64th minute, freshman
Samuel Botwright earned a goal, 2-0.
Alberto Hernandez Meca scored a goal from a penalty kick in the 70th minute of the game, 3-0. The final goal was scored by sophomore
Matt Fitzer in the 75th minute, assisted by senior
Rafael Calderon.
Emmanuel ended the match with 6 shots on goal to King's 1.
Up next, the Lions will travel to Wilson, NC to take on Barton College at 4PM. on Saturday, October 14th.
