Box Score Bristol, TN - The Emmanuel Women's Soccer team traveled to King University for a conference matchup against the Tornado. After 90 minutes of play, the Lions came out on top, 2-1. The Lady Lions moved their overall record to 4-7 and their conference record to 4-3. 
 
During an aggressive first half, King scored the first goal of the match in the 5^th minute, 0-1. Emmanuel struck back in the 14^th minute when Harley Murphy, assisted by Zoe Logue, scored the first goal for the Lions, 1-1. In the 20^thminute, Shania Wegesend, assisted by Janya Gonzalez, shot another goal for Emmanuel, 2-1.
 
The second half of this match was a defensive battle, neither team allowing the other to score.
 
The Lions took the match, 2-1. 
 
Next up, the Lady Lions take on Barton College in Wilson, NC on Saturday, October 14^th at 12:30PM. Go Lions!
