Box Score FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Lions Volleyball team hosted the Francis Marion Patriots tonight in the Shaw Athletic Center. The match was back and forth from the start, with Emmanuel ultimately taking the victory, 3-2. The win improves the Lions record to 11-8 on the season, 7-3 in Conference Carolinas action.
 
Francis Marion took the first set, 27-25, with Emmanuel bouncing back to take set two, 25-12. The third set was won by the Patriots, 25-16 but the Lions would refocus and finish strong to take the final two sets, (25-16, 15-8).
 
The win was a special one for senior, Gabrielle McGlamery who reached a huge milestone becoming just the second player in Emmanuel Volleyball history to join the 3,000 career assist club! In tonight's win, McGlamery added 43 assists to her total. 
 
Overall, the Lions had 57 kills, 14 aces, 8 blocks, and 71 digs. 
 
Senior, Alaina Emminger led the way with 19 kills, senior, Emily Hanson added 12 of her own. 
 
Sophomore, Ellie Jackson was on fire from the service line with 5 aces. Sophomore, Rachel McGlamery and senior, Gabrielle McGlamery added 3 a piece. 
 
In blocks, the Lions were led by freshman, Brianna Bigelow, who had 3.5. Emminger added 1.5 of her own. 
 
The Lions will be back in action tomorrow against UNC Pembroke at 2p.m. in the Shaw Athletic Center! Come out and show your support, Lions!
