FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Wrestling team hosted Mount Olive in a Conference Carolinas dual on Wednesday in the Emmanuel Wrestling Center. Overall, the matchup was evenly matched, with the Lions winning four matches to Mount Olives, three but the Trojans edged the Lions in points and took the match, 20-19.
The Lions won big at the 133lb.-weight class, with senior,
Eli Holton defeating Mount Olive's, Logan Tortual, 6-0 via fall at 4:30.
At 149lbs, Emmanuel freshman,
Davin Lundquist earned a 13-12 decision victory over Mount Olive's Isaiah Olive to earn 3 points.
Emmanuel senior,
Christian Trimble also earned a decision victory (8-3) at 165lbs. over Mount Olive's Aaron Bancroft to earn 3 points.
Lion freshman,
Michael McCarthy earned a decision victory (2-1) at 184lbs over Mount Olive's Trent Walker, and senior,
Micha Clemson-Butler earned an 11-3 victory at 197.
