Box Score BRISTOL, TN – The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball team was on the road again to take on King University today in a Conference Carolinas matchup. The match was an exciting one, with two sets going into extra points, but the Lions would prevail, 3-1. With the win, Emmanuel moves to 18-10 overall, 13-3 in conference play, bringing their win streak to 5.
The first set was an exciting one, with the Lions needing 31 points to get a victory, 31-29. The Tornado would take the second set, 25-22, but the Lions would take the next two, 27-25, 25-14 to earn the win.
Overall, Emmanuel had 66 kills, 4 aces, 10 blocks, and 89 digs.
Sophomore,
Layla Bland led the way for Emmanuel with 18 kills. Senior,
Alaina Emminger was close behind, with 15 of her own.
Gabrielle McGlamery was hot from the service line with 3 aces and contributed 52 assists to the win.
Seniors,
Emily Hanson and Emminger led the team in blocks with 3.5 apiece.
The Lions will host North Greenville at home on Monday at 7p.m. to close out the regular season!
