Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions hosted Limestone University for a double header this afternoon. Emmanuel is coming into this game after a close loss to the University of West Georgia earlier in the week.

Emmanuel College Lions Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Limestone University. Emmanuel College Lions snatched the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over Limestone University on Friday. The game was tied at three with Emmanuel College Lions batting in the bottom of the seventh when B. Campbell doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Emmanuel College Lions Varsity got on the board in the second inning.  Campbell hit a solo homer. H. Parks earned the win for Emmanuel College Lions. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with H. Ferguson, C. Brown, T. Mayfield, and M. Dodds all securing outs and ultimately the victory.  Mayfield recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Emmanuel College Lions Varsity. M. Neal took the loss for Limestone University. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings, striking out five and walking zero. J. Contino started the game for Limestone University. Contino surrendered two runs on three hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven M. Dickey started the game for Emmanuel College Lions. The righthander allowed five hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four

Game 2: Emmanuel 6, Limestone 0
Three Pitchers Team Up As Emmanuel College Lions  Defeats Limestone University In Shut-Out. Emmanuel College Lions defeated Limestone University 6-0 on Friday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. H. Parks struck out R. Farkas to finish off the game. Emmanuel College Lions Varsity got things moving in the first inning.  T. Collins singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. One bright spot for Limestone University was a single by Z. O'Malley in the second inning. S. Boggie pitched Emmanuel College Lions to victory. Boggie surrendered zero runs on two hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one.  E. Pooler and Parks entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. J. Deloatch took the loss for Limestone University. The lefthander went two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits. Emmanuel College Lions tallied nine hits on the day.  Collins, C. Minnis, and N. Dietsch all managed multiple hits for Emmanuel College Lions.  Dietsch, Minnis, and Collins all had two hits to lead Emmanuel College Lions.
The Lions will host a Limestone University for their final game of the weekend series on Saturday, February 11th. First pitch is set for noon.
