Franklin Springs, GA - Emmanuel's Baseball team hosted Limestone University for a 3 game series this weekend. The Lions beat the Saints yesterday in the double header. Today, the outcome would be in the Lions favor as they would win in the win in the bottom of the 11th inning. Lions won 3-2.
Collins's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Emmanuel College Lions Victory Over Limestone University. Emmanuel College Lions took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Limestone University. The game was tied at two with Emmanuel College Lions batting in the bottom of the eleventh when T. Collins singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides. Emmanuel College Lions pitchers struck out four, while Limestone University pitchers sat down ten. E. Pooler pitched Emmanuel College Lions to victory. Pooler went one inning, allowing zero runs on one hit and walking one. N. Robertson took the loss for Limestone University. Robertson allowed three hits and one run over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. C. Fields started the game for Emmanuel College Lions. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over three and a third innings C. Busse started the game for Limestone University. The righthander allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Emmanuel College Lions totaled ten hits. B. Campbell, Collins, and C. Minnis all collected multiple hits for Emmanuel College Lions. Minnis, Collins, and Campbell each collected two hits to lead Emmanuel College Lions. Limestone University tallied seven hits in the game. C. Kosco and P. Adams each managed multiple hits for Limestone University.
