Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions hosted Limestone University for a region matchup with the Saints. Coming into this game, the Lions were 3-6 overall coming off a loss to Lees- McRae.
The Lions got off to a rough start against the Saints as the Saints would maintain a 6 point minimum lead for a majority of the match. The Saints would take the first set 25-17 over the Lions. Following the break in between matches, the Lions seemed to have a fire in them as
Carlos Guerrero would assist them Lions serving back to back as
Jayden Young, and
Daniel Beacham would both get an ace to put the Lions up 12-5 midway through the second set. The Lions would take the second and third set 25-20 sending it into what would hopefully be the final set of the night. Limestone wasn't backing down as they would hold the lead a majority of the fourth set. The Saints would take the fourth set, 25-19. The final set would be an absolute show for the Lions as they would quickly go up 9 points to 1. The Lions would take the final set, 15-7.
