Emmanuel College Lions  beat Lee University 4-1 on Tuesday.

Macy Kelley earned the win for Emmanuel College Lions. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three. Madison Barnett took the loss for Lee University. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one.

Kinsley Goolsby led Emmanuel College Lions with two hits in two at bats.  Emmanuel College Lions didn't commit a single error in the field. Alyssa Adams had six chances in the field, the most on the team. Alexa Scalzo went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lee University in hits.

With MADISON On The Mound, Emmanuel College Lions Varsity Shuts Out Lee University. MADISON EDWARDS didn't allow a single run against Lee University, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Emmanuel College Lions to a 7-0 victory on Tuesday.
Emmanuel College Lions got on the board in the second inning.  JARYN GIBSON drove in two when GIBSON homered. Emmanuel College Lions notched three runs in the sixth inning.  Emmanuel College Lions Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by a single by ABI CURRY and a sac fly by Adrianna Meeks. One bright spot for Lee University was a single by Ana Macha in the first inning.
EDWARDS led the Emmanuel College Lions  to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Natalie Pruitt took the loss for Lee University. Pruitt lasted three innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out one and walking zero.
Emmanuel College Lions  hit one home run on the day. GIBSON went yard in the second inning.
Emmanuel College Lions collected eight hits on the day.  CURRY and GIBSON each managed multiple hits for Emmanuel College Lions Varsity.  GIBSON and CURRY each managed two hits to lead Emmanuel College Lions. Macha led Lee University with one hit in three at bats.

The Lions will head on the road to face Young Harris on Wednesday, March 1. Frist pitch is set for 3:00pm.
