Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions hosted the Coker University Cobras for the opening game of the 2023 season. The Lions come into to this season after going 2-12 in the 2022 season. 

The Lions looked well through the first period of play as they would hold the Cobras to a 4-2 lead heading into the second. The Cobras would dominate a majority of the second period, Luke Hildebrand would be the lone Lion to score in the second.assisted by Devon Roberts.  The Lions head into the half down 10-3. The Lions would go on to score 3 more goals during the third/fourth period of play. Ultimately they would fall to the Cobras.
