Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions faced off against the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors this past weekend. KJ Jones would achieve yet another remarkable goal as he would score his 2,000th career basket.
Saturday the Lion's squared off against rivals Southern Wesleyan University at the Williamson Arena. The game was preceded with an emotional tribute to the late Matt Cichanski, a former athletic trainer for the Lion's who passed away this summer after a 4 year long battle with Cancer. The Lion's came out of the gates hot winning the first half 43-25. The Lion's cruised to an 82-55 victory behind a 31 point, 7 rebound showing from star KJ Jones. Jones also eclipsed the 2,000 career point barrier, an impressive feat in its self but after including a shortened 2020 season makes the feat even more impressive.
