Men's Lacrosse Falls to Mount Olive

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The Emmanuel men's lacrosse team faced Mount Olive at home on Saturday. The Trojans defeated the Lions, 14-8. This moves Emmanuel's record to 1-9 on the year and 0-2 in league play.

The Trojans scored five goals in a row over the first 11 minutes of the game. With under four minutes to go in the opening quarter, the Lions scored twice thanks to Tanner Park and Ryland Laturell. The Trojans score three more times over the first eight minutes of the second quarter before John Allen found the net for the Lions. The Trojans scored twice more before the half, making the score 10-3 going into the break.

The Trojans scored the first goal of the second half, but the Lions prevented them from scoring more than twice in the frame. The solid defense combined with a pair of goals from Luke Hildebrant and a goal from Matthais Oslund that resulted in the Lions out scoring the Trojans in the third quarter, 3-2. However, UMO still lead by half a dozen, 12-6, with 15 minutes to play. Both teams scored twice in the fourth quarter. Emmanuel's goals came from Tanner Park and Kyle Lloyd. This would give UMO a six goal victory, 14-8.

Luke Hildebrant and Tanner Park both finished with two goals.

Next up, men's lacrosse will head to Murfreesboro, NC to face Chowan University on Saturday, April 1.
