Franklin Springs, GA. - Adams Collects Four Hits As Emmanuel College Softball Defeats Lees McRae College
Alyssa Adams was dialed in at the plate on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Emmanuel College Lions to a 8-6 win over Lees McRae College. Adams homered in the first, homered in the third, homered in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
Bats blistered as Emmanuel College Lions Varsity collected 12 hits and Lees McRae College tallied six in the high-scoring game.
Emmanuel got things started in the first inning when Adams homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Lees McRae College scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Lees McRae College came thanks to home runs by Julie Gast and Hannah Foster.
MADISON EDWARDS pitched Emmanuel to victory. The righty allowed six hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out six.
Megan Powell led things off in the circle for Lees McRae. The righty allowed four hits and four runs over two innings. Grayson Buckner and Jada Wilson entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.
The Lions smacked four home runs on the day. Adams had a four bagger in the first, third, and fifth innings. MACKENSIE HOGAN went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
Emmanuel racked up 12 hits in the game. Adams, ABI CURRY, and HOGAN each managed multiple hits for the Lions. Adams went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Emmanuel College in hits. Emmanuel College Lions Varsity was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
Kinsley Goolsby made the most plays with six.
Gast led the Bobcats with two hits in four at bats.
