Franklin Springs, GA - The Emmanuel College Baseball Squad could not catch up to the Visiting Crusaders in the last Conference Series at home.
GAME 1
Emmanuel College fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-1 loss to Belmont Abbey on Friday.
Belmont Abbey scored on a sacrifice fly by B. Ferguson in the first inning, a groundout by C. Powell in the second inning, and a single by P. Taylor in the second inning.
The Emmanuel College Lions struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Belmont Abbey, giving up 12 runs.
Belmont Abbey opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ferguson's sac fly scored one run for the visitors.
The Crusaders scored four runs in the fourth inning. Powell, Ferguson, G. Browder, and C. DuHaime each drove in runs during the inning.
A. Sniffen earned the win for Belmont Abbey. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and zero runs while striking out ten. A. Glauber and L. Dickerson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
E. Pooler took the loss for Emmanuel . Pooler allowed three hits and four runs over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking one.
The Lions socked one home run on the day. C. Conley had a long ball in the eighth inning.
D. Bowden, B. Eavenson, N. Dietsch, C. Minnis, A. Baez, Conley, W. Hawks, and B. Campbell each managed one hit to lead Emmanuel.
Belmont Abbey had 15 hits in the game. Taylor, DuHaime, Browder, and Ferguson all collected multiple hits for Belmont Abbey. Taylor went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Belmont Abbey in hits. The Visiting Team was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Browder had the most chances in the field with ten.

Belmont Abbey scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning for Belmont Abbey came thanks to a walk by C. Powell, a home run by B. Ferguson, and a double by T. Velotta.
E. Wilson pitched Belmont Abbey to victory. The righty went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out six.
R. Smith took the loss for Emmanuel College Lions. Smith surrendered nine runs on 11 hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
Emmanuel  socked two home runs on the day. T. Collins had a four bagger in the third inning. B. Campbell went deep in the third inning.
The Lions tallied six hits in the game. Collins and C. Minnis each managed multiple hits for Emmanuel College. Minnis and Collins each collected two hits to lead the Lions.
The Crusaders tallied 17 hits on the day. Velotta, Ferguson, Browder, Powell, C. Burr, and J. Whitaker each racked up multiple hits for Belmont Abbey.
GAME 3
G. Lohmeier was credited with the victory for Belmont Abbey. Lohmeier surrendered zero runs on four hits over six innings, striking out five and walking one. D. Stegura threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Stegura recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Belmont Abbey.
S. Boggie took the loss for Emmanuel College Lions. Boggie allowed four hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two.
T. Collins led Emmanuel College Lions with three hits in four at bats.
Belmont Abbey racked up nine hits. C. Powell and C. Tucker each managed multiple hits for the Crusaders. The visiting team was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. G. Browder had the most chances in the field with ten.
