Box Score The Lady Lions Volleyball team traveled to Daytona Beach, FL to open the season in the Bahama House Labor Day Classic. Emmanuel kicked off the season with a loss against Embry Riddle in five sets, 3-2. 
 
Emmanuel took the first set 25-18 but would go onto lose the next two sets 25-15, 25-16. The Lions fought back to take set four, 25-21 but the Eagles closed out the match with a 15-10 advantage in set five. 

Overall, the Lady Lions had 52 kills and 9 blocks in the match.
 
Alaina Emminger led the way for the Lions with 19 kills, Emily Hanson had 13, and Jocelyn Martin had 8. Brianna Bigelow led with 6 blocks and Gabrielle McGlamery had 4. 

 McGlamery also contributed 44 assists in the match.  Asia Queen led the team with 21 digs. 
 
Emmanuel looks to bounce back quickly as they face the #20 Wingate Bulldogs today at 4:45p.m.
