Box Score The Emmanuel Lions Volleyball team opened Conference Carolinas play against Belmont Abbey tonight at the Shaw Athletic Center. The Lions took care of business, 3-1, earning Coach James Friddle his 100^th victory at Emmanuel in just 6 seasons!
 
Emmanuel took the first set 25-16, with Belmont Abbey winning the second, 25-22. Emmanuel would go on to finish play, 25-15, 25-13 to get the win. 
 
Overall, the Lions had 49 kills, 8 aces, and 11 blocks. 
 
Freshman, Ella Johns led the way for Emmanuel with 17 kills, with Jocelyn Martin contributing 11 and Emily Hanson tacking on 5. 
 
Asia Queen had a strong serve tonight, earning 3 aces with Brianna Bigelow and Gabrielle McGlamery earning 2 a piece.
 
McGlamery contributed 35 assists on the night with Hanson earning five blocks. 

When asked about win number 100 after the match, Coach Friddle had this to say.

"It feels great," he said. "I told the girls in the locker room that this was a 'team' thing, not a me thing. This is a program-wide celebration, 100 wins in such a short time is something special."
