Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Lions Fall to Catawba 1-0

 The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team faced Catawba College in their second game of the 2023 Laker Classic at Clayton State University. The Lions looked to build on their momentum after a thrilling last-minute victory against the University of Montevallo. 
 
Catawba scored early in the 13th minute, with a goal by Salano Birch, to give the Indians a 1-0 lead. 
 
The second half was a defensive battle, with Emmanuel goalie, Natxo Faus recording four of his 7 saves in the half. 
 
The Indian's sole goal would be enough to take a 1-0 victory over the Lions.
 
Next up, the Lions will head to Shorter University to take on the Hawks on September 9th at 7p.m.
