The Lady Lions Volleyball team traveled to Daytona Beach, FL to open the season in the Bahama House Labor Day Classic. After two difficult losses in day 1 of the tournament, Emmanuel bounced back against Drury University, defeating the Panthers in four sets, 3-1.
Emmanuel took the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-19 but would go onto lose the third 25-22. The Lady Lions put the match away in the fourth set, winning 25-19.
Overall, the Lady Lions had 49 kills and 5 aces and 8 blocks.
Ella Johns led the way for the Lady Lions with 18 kills, with
Jocelyn Martin contributing 11.
Gabrielle McGlamery contributed 39 assists and 17 digs.
Brianna Bigelow led the Lions with 5 blocks, with both
Emily Hanson and McGlamery contributing 4 of their own.
Emmanuel looks to keep the momentum going as they face Augusta University today at 4:45p.m.
