The Emmanuel Lady Lions traveled to Chowan for an in-conference matchup with the Hawks.
Emmanuel got off to a fast start, taking the first two sets, 25-16, 25-15. The Hawks would take set 3, 25-19, but the Lions would finish strong with a 25-14 win in the fourth set.
Overall, the Lions had 61 kills, 57 assists, 7 aces, and 7 blocks.
Alaina Emminger led the way for the Lions with 14 kills, with
Ella Johns contributing 13.
Samantha Dibene served up 3 aces, with
Gabrielle McGlamery adding 2 more of her own.
Asia Queen contributed 23 digs.
Several Lions got in on the block party, with
Jill Johnson tallying 4, Dibene with 3, and
Emily Hanson with 2.
Gabrielle McGlamery had 46 assists.
The Lions will be back in action tomorrow at 2p.m. against Barton College.
