FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – It was Senior Day on Saturday for the Emmanuel Swimming Lions. Eight seniors were honored prior to the Lions meet against Point University. In the meet, the Lions swam strong, earning a 160-36 victory.
A few highlights of the meet were –
- In the 200-yard medley relay, Emmanuel's team of sophomore, Santiago Vilches, sophomore, Jan Michalak, junior, Micah Thayer, and freshman, Nedas Giedraitis placed first with a time of 1:40.22.
- In the Men's 1000-yard freestyle, freshman Arda Hulagu placed first with a time of 9:45.30.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, Santiago Vilches placed first with a time of 1:43.08.
- In the 50-yard freestyle, senior Anton Akopian placed first with a time of 21.24
- In the 400-Yard IM, sophomore, Jan Michalak placed first with a time of 3:58.22
- In the 100-yard butterfly, junior Guillermo Perosanz placed first with. Time of 49.61
- In the 100-yard freestyle, senior Anton Akopian placed first with a time of 44:.07
- In the 100-yard backstroke, Santiago Vilches placed first with a time of 50.36
- In the 500-yard freestyle, Arda Hulagu placed first with a time of 4:32.26
- In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Emmanuel's team of Anton Akopian, Leonardo Trevisan, Jeandre Joubert, and Nathan Medley finished first with a time of 1:20.25.
