Box Score HARROGATE. TN – The Emmanuel Men's Volleyball team traveled to Harrogate, TN today to take on the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters in non-conference action. The Lions were competitive, ultimately falling in three sets to LMU, 25-14. 25-17, 25-18. With the loss, the Lions drop to 0-4 on the season.
 
In the first set, the Lions got off to a slow start, allowing Lincoln Memorial to get off to a 4-0 lead early. The Lions had 9 kills in the set, but  five errors allowed the Railsplitters to extend their lead, ultimately taking the set, 25-14. 
 
In the second set, it was Emmanuel that started off strong, getting off to a 7-3 lead, but the Railsplitters would go on a 5-0 run to take their first lead of the set, 8-7. LMU would extend their lead to 22-13, but the Lions continued to battle, scoring three straight points. The Railsplitters would finish out the set with two kills, to earn the set 25-17. 
 
In the third set, the Lions kept things close but 16 kills by the Railsplitters helped LMU keep he advantage. On multiple occasions, Emmanuel would get within four points of the lead, but LMU was able to hold the Lions at bay, winning the set 25-18. 
 
Overall, the Lions had 28 kills on the night, 5 blocks, 11 digs, and 26 assists.
 
Senior, Eli Zdonek led the way for the Lions with 10 kills, 1 block and 3 digs.  Freshman Arturo Diaz-Dube contributed 9 kills, 2 blocks, 3 digs, and an assist. 
 
Harrison Coelho ended the night with 3 kills and 2 blocks, while freshman, Abdallah Roshdy added 24 assists. 
 
Senor, Nicklas Eichenberger ended the night with 5 digs and an assist. 
 
Next up the Lions will travel to Jacksonville, FL to take on Edward Waters on Monday at 6PM
