FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – It was Senior Night for Emmanuel Wrestling yesterday as the Lions hosted Bluefield State University. The Lions made a statement, defeating the Great Danes 56-0. With the win, Emmanuel improves to 5-4 on the season, 3-4 in conference action.
 
A few highlights included – 
 
At 125 lbs. senior, Martez Huff won via majority decision (15-5)
At 133 lbs. senior, Eli Holton won via technical fall (7:00)
At 141 lbs. freshman, Ronnie Theilacker won via fall (0:49)
At 149 lbs. junior, Charles Hayes won via fall (1:48)
At 174 lbs. red-shirt senior, Connor Smith won via TF (6:35)
At 197 lbs. senior, Markis Hill won via fall (1:21)
 
Next up, the Lions will travel to Greenwood, SC to take on Lander University on February 1 at 7PM.
