Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Soccer team hosted Young Harris tonight in Conference action. The Mountain Lions got off to a quick start scoring two goals in the first half. The Lions responded well in the second half, but their comeback fell short and the Mountain Lions took home a 2-1 victory. With the loss, the Lions fell to 3-9-2 on the season, 3-4-2 in conference play.
In the first half of play, the Mountain Lions were quick to get on the board, with goals in the 13
th and 15
thminute to take a 2-0 lead. In the half, Young Harris outshot the Lions, 7-3 with 5 shots on goal. At the half, the Lions trailed 2-0.
In the second half, the Lions showcased their offensive firepower, outshooting Young Harris, 6-3 with 3 shots on goal. At 51:37, Emmanuel's
Reagan Hill found the net for the Lions to cut the Young Harris lead to 2-1. The Lions threatened to score a few more times throughout the second half, but the Mountain Lions held onto take home the win, 2-1.
