Box Score Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team hosted Southern Wesleyan tonight on Senior Night. Nine seniors were honored at tonight's game – Matthew Fitzer, Colin Wedderburn, Emilio Rangel, Tomas Pollacchi, Natxo Faus, Iker Martinez, Martin Cruz, Ross Lamont, and Andrew Rowe. Due to injury, one senior (Alberto Hernandez Meca) was honored at last Saturday's game versus Francis Marion. The game was a defensive battle to start, with neither team scoring in the first half. After the half, both teams found the net, with the Lions taking the lead late to win it, 2-1! With the win, the Lions extend their win streak to four games, and improve to 7-3-2, 6-3-1 in conference.

The first half was a defensive battle, with neither team breaking through to score. The Warriors outshot the Lions, 4-2 in the half but the Lions had 2 shots on goal compared to 1 by the Warriors. At the half, the two teams were knotted at 0-0.

After the half, the Warriors struck first with a goal at 47:58 to make it 1-0, SWU. The Lions were quick to respond with a goal by Colin Wedderburn at 50:07 to tie things at 1-1. Nathan Walker put the Lions on top at 66:10 to make it 2-1, which would be the final score. The Lions outshot the Warriors 8-6 in the second half, with each team having 5 shots on goal. Emmanuel goalkeeper, Natxo Faus ended the contest with five saves on the night.
