Belmont, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Wrestling team opened up conference action at Belmont Abbey last night. Although the Lions battled, they fell to the Crusaders 41-4 to fall to 0-1 on the season.
 
RESULTS BREAKDOWN
 
The Crusaders ended the night with two wins by decision, one by fall, one by forfeit, two by major decision and three tech falls. 
 
Michael McCarthy shined for the Lions earning 4 points with a win by MD at 174lbs. 
 
The Lions also earned two wins in the extra category, with Gavin Mastrangelo earning a win by TF and Briar Whaley earning a decision victory.
 
Next up the Lions will host the Georgia Open on Sunday, November 10 at 9AM in the Shaw Athletic Center.
