Box Score Due West, SC – The Emmanuel Men's Basketball team traveled to Due West, SC today to take on Erskine College in conference action. The Lions took the lead early and controlled the pace of the game throughout taking home an 82-59 victory. With the win, the Lions move to 6-5 overall and remain undefeated in conference at 5-0. 

 The Lions jumped out to an early 8-2 lead over the Flying Fleet. Two made three pointers by Chris Dees quickly pushed the Lions lead to 13-5 with 14:31 to play in the half. A three by Issac Jones gave the Lions a 10-point lead, 22-12 with 10:48 to go. The Lions were 14-29 from the field (48%) in the first half, connecting on 8-19 from beyond the arc. At the half, the Lions held onto a 40-29 lead.

After the break, the Lions continued to click offensively, starting the half off on a 11-5 scoring run, capped off with a three pointer by Kendall Latney.  The Flying Fleet would go on a 4-0 run, but the Lions put a quick stop to the scoring with a three by Devin Story to give the Lions a 14-point advantage, 54-40. The Lions shot 46% from the field in the second half and connected on 8-18 threes (44%). Late in the game, the Lions pushed their lead out to 26 points and they would go onto win the contest by a score of 82-59.

Devin Story would lead the Lions in scoring with 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Kendall Latney contributed 15 points, a block and a steal. Latney met a milestone in today's contest joining Chris Dees and Tavarus Webb as the third Lion this season to reach 1,000 career points.
