FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team hosted Georgia College & State University today in non-conference action. The Bobcats took the doubles point, but the Lions battled during singles play to take the match, 4-3. With the win, the Lions now sit at 4-0 on the season.
 
In doubles play, #1 doubles team, Rodrigo Perez Crespo/Noe Villen (GCSU) narrowly defeated Emmanuel's Murilo Gracio/James Girdler by a score of 7-6. 
 
At #2 doubles, Emmanuel's Aleksander Simovski/Georg Stettler defeated Gabe Cizek/Sebastian Nunez (GCSU) 6-3. 
 
At #3 doubles, Jorge Robinson/Enzo Sergi (GCSU) defeated Julio Lopes Polesi/Henrique Castro, 7-5. 
 
With the doubles point, the Bobcats took a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
 
SINGLES MATCHES
 
#1 Singles – Emmanuel's Murilo Gracio narrowly defeated Jorge Robinson (GCSU) losing the first set, 6-4, and going onto win the next two, 6-2, 7-5. 
 
#2 Singles – Emmanuel's Henrique Castro defeated Noe Villen (GCSU) in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. 
 
#3 Singles – Emmanuel's Georg Stettler fell to Gabe Cizek (GCSU) in a competitive match, losing the first set, 6-2, winning the second 6-2, and falling in the third, 7-6. 
 
#4 Singles – Emmanuel's Aleksander Simovski defeated Rodrigo Perez Crespo (GCSU) in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5.
 
#5 Singles – Emmanuel's Alejandro Gomez fell to Enzo Sergi in three sets, winning the first, 6-3, then dropping the next two, 6-4, 6-4. 
 
$6 Singles – Emmanuel's Jose Calderon defeated Sebastian Nunez in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
