Augusta, GA. – The Emmanuel Baseball team traveled to Augusta today to take on the Augusta University Jaguars in regional play. Augusta's offense got off to a quick start, registering 15 hits in the game, defeating the Lions by a score of 13-0. With the loss, the Lions fall to 13-12 on the season.
The Jaguars got the scoring started in the first inning with a run on two hits, leaving two runners on base to take a 1-0 lead.
After a scoreless second inning, Augusta scored 11 runs on eight hits in the bottom of the third, leaving one runner on base to make the score 12-0.
The Jaguars added to their lead in the bottom of the 5
th scoring a run on two hits, leaving the bases loaded to take a 13-0 lead.
The two teams remained scoreless the rest of the way and the Jaguars came away with a 13-0 victory.

Hayden Beall went 1-1 and
Brock Wollin went 2-4 with a double.
On the mound,
Colby Fields took the loss pitching two innings, giving up four runs on five hits and striking out one batter.
Hunter Maddox relieved him to face seven batters, giving up five runs on two hits and walking three batters.
Lucas Meehan came in next, pitching 1.1 inning and giving up three runs on three hits.
Collin Seabold faced six batters, giving up a run on two hits, striking out one batter and walking another.
Eli Roach pitched 1.1 inning, giving up just one hit and striking out a batter.
Zakk Gibbons came in next, pitching an inning and giving up a hit.
Noah Olson closed out the game, pitching an inning and striking out two batters.
The Lions will host SWU this weekend in a conference series beginning on Friday at 6PM.
