Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Tennis team hosted the Converse Valkyries in Conference Carolinas action today. The Lions got off to a strong start taking the doubles point, then continued to control the match in singles play, winning 5-2! With the win, the Lions improve to 6-4 overall, and 1-0 in conference play.
 
DOUBLES PLAY – 

1. At #1 doubles, Murilo Gracio/James Girdler (EU) def. M. Leopold/M. Letessier (CONVM) 6-3.
2. At #2 doubles, Georg Stettler/Aleksander Simovski (EU) def. S. Waters/C. Davies (CONVM) 6-4
3. At #3 doubles, T. Furumaki/M. Roncero (CONVM) def. Jose Calderon/Matheus Pimenta (EU) 6-4 

SINGLES PLAY 

1. At #1 singles, Murilo Gracio (EU) def. S. Waters (CONVM) losing the first set, 6-3, then taking the final two, 6-2, 6-4. 
2. At #2 singles, T. Furumaki (CONVM) def. James Girdler (EU) 6-4, 6-1
3. At #3 singles, Henrique Castro (EU) def. M. Letessier (CONVM) dropping the first set, 6-3, then taking the final two sets, 6-2, 6-4. 
4. At #4 singles, Georg Stettler (EU) def. L. Morel (CONVM) losing the first set, 7-6 then taking the next two, 7-6, 1-0. 
5. At #5 singles, Aleksander Simovski (EU) def. M. Roncero (CONVM) losing the first set, 6-4, then taking the next two, 6-4, 7-5.
