Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Belmont Abbey in a Conference Carolinas matchup this afternoon. The Crusaders got off to a quick start earning the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play. The Lions went onto four of six singles matches to earn the 4-3 win! With the win, the Lions improve to 7-8 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.

2. At #2 Doubles, A. Burkhalter/P.Sacarras (BAC) def. Anna Goncalves/Victoria Rodriguez (EU) 6-3
3. At #3 Singles, L. Sanchez/E. Vollmin (BAC) def. Zyanya Rogel/Alejandra Guerrero (EU) 7-6. 

SINGLES PLAY

2. At #2 Singles, Soleny Gonzales (EU) def. K. Nguyen (BAC) in three sets, winning the first 6-4, losing the second 6-3, and taking the third, 6-1. 
3. At #3 Singles, H. Riner (BAC) def. Tawana Senah (EU) 6-2, 6-3.
4. At #4 Singles, M. McCarthy (BAC) def. Shatavisa Ghosh (EU) 7-6, 7-6 
5. At #5 Singles, Darja Chistov (EU) def. A. Burkhalter (BAC) in three sets, losing the first 7-6, then taking the final two, 7-5, 6-4. 
6. At #6 Singles, Sabina Roua (EU) def. L. Sanchez (BAC) 6-2, 6-4.
