Matt Fitzer, and the Lions would control the pace of the game the rest of the way, winning ---0. With the win, the Lions improve to 1-1-2 on the season, 1-1-1 in conference play.
Matt Fitzer got things going for the Lions with a goal at 12:27, assisted by
Alberto Hernandez Meca to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. Fitzer found the net again at 18:58 to make it 2-0 Lions.
Alberto Hernandez Meca got into the action with a goal in the 24

Tomas Pollacchi to put the Lions up 3-0 heading into halftime.
Iker Martinez added onto the Lions lead with a goal at 54:11, assisted by Ross Lamot to give the Lions a 4-0 lead.

The Lions outshot the Hawks 12-3.
