MOUNT OLIVE, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team traveled to Mount Olive, NC to face the University of Mount Olive Trojans in conference play. The two teams battled from the start with both making key plays but neither finding the net. The game ended in a 0-0 draw. With the tie, the Lions move to 5-6-2 on the season, 5-3-2 in conference play.

The first half was a defensive battle, with neither team breaking through to score. The Trojans outshot the Lions, 7-3 with 2 shots on goal. Lion goalkeeper, Bryan Amezcua had two saves in the first half to head into the break knotted at 0-0. 

The second half was just as competitive, with UMO outshooting the Lions, 11-5 with a shot on goal. Amezcua had a save in the half to bring his total on the day to 3. The two teams ended the afternoon tied at 0-0. 

Next up, the Lions will host Shorter University in conference action on Wednesday at 6PM.
