Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Swimming team hosted their first home meet of the season today, the Emmanuel Fall Invite where they competed against three regional schools, including two Conference Carolinas opponents.
The Lions finished the meet earning 513.4 points to win the event overall. The Lions defeated Berry College (179-82), University of Montevallo (181.50-80.50), and Converse University (179-83). With the wins, the Lions move to 8-0 on the season.
RESULTS
- In the 200 Medley Relay, Emmanuel finished 1st with a time of 1:33.01.
- In the 1000 Free, Yagiz Ari finished 5th with a time of 10:27.06 with Ahmed Abdalla finishing 6th(10:31.66).
- In the 200 Free, four Lions led the pack with Mauricio Arias taking first (1:40.03), Arda Hulagu taking 2nd(1:42.33), Noah Pruwer finishing 3rd (1:48.13) and Samuel Moller taking 4th (1:48.21).
- In the 100 Back, Mateus Lopes earned 1st place with a finish of 50.05, with Hayden Lester finishing 3rd(52.46).
- In the 100 Breast, Maximilliano Benitez earned 1st place with a finish of 56:31 with Leonardo Medieros taking 2nd (57.17),
- In the 200 Fly, Jan Michalak led the way with a time of 1:53.90 to take first place.
- In the 50 Free, Mateus Lopes earned 1st place with a finish of 21.41.
- In the 100 Free, Lopes finished 1st with a time of 46.77, with Medieros taking 2nd with a time of 47.10.
- In the 200 Back, Hayden Lester took first with a time of 1:54.38.
- In the 200 Breast, Maximilliano Benitez finished 1st with a time of 2:05.24 with Jan Michalak taking 2ndwith a time of 2:12.14.
- In the 500 free, Mauricio Arias took first with a time of 4:40.55.
Next up the Lions will travel to Mars Hill, NC to face the Mars Hill University Lions on November 1
st at 11AM.
