FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Wrestling team hosted the Georgia Open on Sunday, with 387 wrestlers in attendance. The Lions wrestled well, with Isaac Piatek, Jordan Sexton and Michael McCarthy placing in the top 5 in their weight class. 

HIGHLIGHTS
At the 174 lb. weight class, Michael McCarthy finished 3^rd, going 4-1 with two wins via tech fall, one by decision, and one via majority decision. 
At the 141 lb. weight class, Jordan Sexton finished 4^th with a record of 4-2 in tournament action. He finished the day with three wins via fall and one by decision. 
At the 149 lb. weight class, Isaac Piatek finished 5^th with a record of 5-2 on the day. He ended the tournament with a win via tech fall, two by decision, and one by fall.
Kobe Pablo finished 6^th in the 285lb. weight class, going 5-2 on the day. He had two wins by decision, one by tech fall, one by fall and one by majority decision. 

Isiah Davis (141), Nate Stratton (165), Josue Mendoza (184), and Anthony Olea (197) ended the day with two wins on the mat, with Frank Moore (285) finishing with three.  

Next up, the Lions will travel to Newberry, SC to compete against Newberry College and Allen University on November 13.
