Box Score MILLEDGEVILLE, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball team traveled to Milledgeville, GA this evening to close out the regular season against regional foe, Georgia College & State University. The Lions jumped out to an early lead taking the first set, 25-15 and carried the momentum the rest of the way to take the next two, 25-14, 25-15. 

Georgia College jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but the Lions responded well with kills by Cailin Pritchard, Ellie Jackson and Marusa Pesut to take a 6-4 advantage. Midway through the set, a 7-0 run by the Lions pushed their lead to 16-7. A kill by Jackson made it 21-13, Lions and a kill by Faith Kelly finished the set off 25-15 in favor of Emmanuel.

The Lions carried their momentum into set two. The two teams traded points early, but the Lions pulled away on kills by Isabella Reyes and Faith Kelly to put the Lions up 10-7. Several errors by the Bobcats put the Lions on top, 20-12 and the Lions finished strong with kills by Pritchard and Bigelow to give Emmanuel a 25-14 set two win. 

The Lions took an early 6-3 lead in set three with kills by Kelly, Jackson and Pritchard. The Lions continued on a run made up of key plays by Pritchard, Reyes, Kelly and Jackson to put the Lions up 17-5 midway through the set. The Bobcats cut the Lions lead to 18-12, but Emmanuel closed the set out strong to take it 25-15, sweeping the Bobcats 3-0.

Overall, the Lions had 44 kills, 37 assists, 1 ace, 6 blocks, and 65 digs. 

Faith Kelly led the way with 12 kills, with Ellie Jackson adding 9. 

Marusa Pesut led the Lions with 32 assists, while Asia Queen led the way in digs with 23. 

Cailin Pritchard ended the night with 2.5 blocks, with Brianna Bigelow adding 2. 

Next up, the Lions will compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on November 21^st at 7:30PM in Bristol, TN.
