CENTRAL, SC – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team traveled to Central, SC to face the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors in conference play. The Lions jumped out ahead early taking a 1-0 lead heading into the half. Although the Warriors made adjustments on the offensive end in the 2
nd half, the Lions held them off to earn the 1-0 win. With the victory, the Lions move to 6-7-3 on the season, 6-4-3 in conference play.
The Lions jumped out to a 1-0 lead early on a goal by 
Dylan Persinger at 32:54, assisted by 
Nathan Walker. The Lions were strong on the offensive side in the first half, outshooting the Warriors 8-3, with 3 shots on goal. Emmanuel goalkeeper, 
Bryan Amezcua had a save in the half to help the Lions go into the break with a 1-0 lead. 
After the break, the Warriors came out strong, outshooting the Lions 11-8 with 5 shots on goal. Amezcua stayed focused in goal, with 5 saves in the half to help the Lions hold onto the lead and head home with a 1-0 victory.
