FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Soccer team hosted Young Harris College tonight in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals. The two teams were evenly matched, with both making key defensive plays to keep the game scoreless heading into halftime. In the final 10 minutes of play, the Mountain Lions took the lead 1-0 which would be the final score.

The first half of play was a defensive battle. Young Harris outshot the Lions 5-3, with each team taking one shot on goal. Emmanuel goalkeeper, Ana Ramirez Cortez had one save in the half to help the game remain scoreless heading into the break.

The second half was just as competitive, with both teams having opportunities to take the lead. The Mountain Lions outshot the Lions 10-8, with Emmanuel having 4 shots on goal. The score stayed the same until the 80^thminute of the game when Young Harris broke through for the score to take a 1-0 lead which would be the final score.
