INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Emmanuel Men's Wrestling team traveled to Indianapolis, IN over the weekend to compete in the 46^th annual Midwest Classic hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The Lions competed well with Braydon Mitchell (125) and Kobe Pablo (285) leading the way picking up 3 wins. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• At 125 lbs., Braydon Mitchell picked up three wins by decision. 
  • Mitchell started off the tournament with a 2-1 decision win over Simon Dominquez of Grand Valley State.
  • Next, he defeated Quade Smith of Chadron State by decision 6-5. 
  • In his third bout of the tournament, Mitchell defeated Nathan Smith of Indianapolis, 6-3 before falling in his final two matches.
     
• At 285 lbs. Kobe Pablo finished the tournament with two wins by decision and one by fall. 
  • He picked up a 7-3 decision win over Riley Dean-Butt of Western Colorado to kick off the tournament. 
  • Next, he picked up a 4-2 decision win over Eli Reese of Chadron State.
  • Following a tech fall loss, Kobe picked up a win via fall over Willie Cox of Montevallo, 7-0 (1:04). 

Next up, the Lions will travel to Montevallo, AL to take on the University of Montevallo in a conference dual on January 6 at 7PM.
