Duncan, SC – The Emmanuel Softball team continued play in the Conference Carolinas Championship with a semifinal matchup against the Trailblazers of North Greenville University. The Lions took an early lead in the top of the 3^rd inning, but the Trailblazers scored the final 2 runs of the game to edge the Lions, 2-1. With the loss, the Lions fell to 23-28 on the season and would face Francis Marion University in an elimination game.

Grace Ausborn singled to start off the 3^rd inning. After a groundout moved Ausborn to 2^nd base, she stole 3^rd. Abby Rocco singled to right center to score Ausborn, giving Emmanuel a 1-0 lead. In the bottom half of the inning, the Trailblazers scored on a solo homerun to tie the game at 1-1. 

The Trailblazers took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the 4^th, scoring a run on 3 hits to make it 2-1. 

The Lions would threaten to score in each of the final three innings, but they couldn't bring a run across, and the Trailblazers would earn a 2-1 victory. 

At the plate, Grace Ausborn went 3-3 with a run scored. 

In the circle, Cassidy Jenkins got the start going 6.0 innings and giving up 2 runs on 5 hits. She struck out a batter and walked another.
