Franklin Springs, GA – Emmanuel Athletics is thrilled to announce the hiring of Rahsaan Vereen to the Wrestling Coaching Staff. 

Originally from Poplar, SC Vereen attended North Myrtle Beach High School where he was a 3X State Placer, accumulating a record of 42-3 in his senior season. 
Vereen went on to attend UNC Pembroke where he was a Super Region Finalist and a NCAA Qualifier. He was named to the All -South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Team in his redshirt-junior season. 

Following his career at UNC Pembroke, Vereen coached at his alma mater, North Myrtle Beach High School for two years where the Chiefs boasted six state qualifiers and two state placers.


"I'm incredibly excited to join the Emmanuel University Lions family and be a part of Lion Nation," said Coach Vereen. "It's an honor to contribute to a program that values both athletic excellence and a strong Christian character development. Being able to join a staff with a great guy in Coach Killian, m eager to get to work, build meaningful relationships, and help elevate the wrestling program to new heights."

"Coach Vereen brings a strong background in coaching development, a deep passion for the sport, and a high energy approach that will elevate the level of both programs!
