Lions Take First at FSU Seminole Classic!

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Emmanuel Women's Bowling team traveled to Tallahassee, FL over the weekend to compete in the FSU Seminole Classic hosted by Florida State University. 

The Lions started off strong on day one, with a first-place finish in the qualifying round. The Lions earned a total score of 4394 to outshoot 2nd place finisher, Florida A&M University. The Emmanuel JV Women's team also placed first with a score of 3023. 

Individually, the Lions were led by Hailey Jansky and Kaitlin Dekowski. Jansky bowled a 5-game average of 193 to lead all bowlers with a high game of 223. Dekowski placed 2nd as an individual with a 5-game average score of 186.2 and a high game of 247. Danielle Fendenheim placed 5th individually with a 5-game average of 177.8 and a high game of 214. 

 The Lions continued their win streak, placing first in the FSU Seminole Classic Bakers Tournament.

Hailey Janksey was named tournament MVP, while Janksy, Kaitlin Dekowski and Danielle Fendenheim were named to the all-tournament time.

The Lions will be back in action on January 24 as they travel to Mobile, AL for the Rammit Classic.
